Pittsburgh Web Design Day 2012

Pittsburgh Web Design Day 2012

October 26, 2012 Pittsburgh, PA

Web Design Day

Web Design Day is a one-day conference designed to bring the best of modern Web Design to Pittsburgh. This is our fourth year and we’ve made things both bigger and better just for you. A larger, fancier venue means we can hold more people but still keep things small and friendly - just how we all like it. Spend the day with high-end presentations from some of the best and friendliest in our industry and lunching with the best set of attendees around. Then leave the digital aside just for a while for a party and printmaking fun exclusively for Web Design Day attendees.

Shop talk, friends, and making things. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day!

Venue

Day

New Hazlett Theater

We’ve moved to a bigger and more historic venue for this year so we can show you a little bit more of Pittsburgh’s Northside. The Hazlett Theater was built in 1889 as the Carnegie Musical Hall and was dedicated by President Benjamin Harrison. The Theater is part of a historic landmark which also houses one of the first Carnegie Free Libraries in the country.

Hotel

For everyone coming from out of town, we've made some arrangements with a nearby hotel to help you out. We have a group rate set up at the Hyatt Place just a short walk from the main venue. Tell them you're with the Web Design Day Group when you make your resevations for a rate of $199 a night.

Night

Commonwealth Press & Sapling Press

We’re going to party with the presses! Literally. Our lovely friends at Commonwealth Press and Sapling Press are opening up their warehouse studio exclusively for Web Design Day attendees on Friday night. Spend an evening with speakers and attendees while trying your hand at letterpress and screen printing. You print it, you keep it. So much better than a bar! (There are plenty of bars within a short walk for afterwards, don’t worry, we still like bars too.)

Sponsors

Our sponsors help us make Web Design Day the amazing event we want it to be. We couldn't do it without them!

If you or your company are interested in helping us out, please download our sponsorship information. We have options for large companies as well as lower options for friends of Web Design Day.

About

2012 marks the fourth Web Design Day. Starting in 2009, this event has aimed to bring the best of Web Design to Pittsburgh in a fun, intimate and affordable event. Organized by G. Jason & Val Head of Refresh Pittsburgh and Viewsource events, Web Design Day is designed to encourage the wonderful community of folks from Pittsburgh and beyond who work to make the web a better place. Check out what we did in 2011, 2010 & 2009.
